The Met Gala 2022 was a special one. For the first time ever, they incorporated visual effects with their live event coverage. Our team was tasked with creating various systems where we could turn the guests at the gala into pieces of art at the MET the night of the event.
We got to play with everything from AI style transfers (before AI was what it is today), to photoshop scripts, to 3D mosaics, sculptures, porcelain vases, etc. Our team went to the MET to shoot plates for the galleries, we prepped every single shot before the night of the event, and night of we were able to simply create the art pieces and insert them into our comps.

The whole reason that we were tasked with doing these animations live was because Vogue was posting them throughout the evening.
I was so giddy working on this, knowing that withing minutes my work will be on Vogue’s intagram, and it was for it’s biggest event of the year!
